  4. Click a card to select it.
  5. Click a card already chosen for a pass to unselect it.
  6. Click the Score Pad on the lower left of the table to show the score and the status of every players bid.
  7. Click the Cup Of Joe on the lower right of the table to tell the computer to finish the hand for you.

  10. Bidding
  11. During bidding, the Bidding Board will appear. Click on the number you wish to bid. You can also type in a number.

  15. About Spades Deluxe Contains information about Spades Deluxe, your current opponents, help, credits, Freeverse Software, legal stuff, and more!
  16. Other Freeverse Games This menu gives you a quick look at the other fine games available from Freeverse.

  19. File Menu
  20. New Game Begins a new game with the current settings.
  21. Quit Quits Spades Deluxe.

  24. Edit Menu
  25. Undo If possible will undo the last trick of the hand.  You cannot undo past the first trick of any specific hand.
  26. Copy Copy will place an image of the tabletop on the clipboard, unless the Score Pad or Help windows have text selected in which case the selected text will be placed on the clipboard.
  27. Preferences Opens a dialog for setting all of Spades Deluxe‚Äôs interface preferences. See Preferences Dialog for more information.

  30. Game Menu
  31. View Allows you to choose a background graphic.  Not available in all rooms.
  32. Rules Opens a dialog for setting all of the game settings in Spades Deluxe. See Rules Dialog for more info.
  33. Opponents Opens a dialog for selecting which players to play with in Spades Deluxe. See Opponents Dialog for more info.
  34. Results Opens a dialog that displays the number of games played, won and lost.
  35. Tutor When this is selected Spades Deluxe will attempt to assist you in playing intelligently. Optionally, you can leave this turned off and then press the question mark (?) or spacebar during game play to get a hint for one turn only.
  36. Demonstration When checked, Spades Deluxe will play itself.
  37. Enter Registration Code After you have registered Spades Deluxe, we‚Äôll send you a code to unlock the full game. This will bring up a dialog in which you can enter it.

  40. Special Menu
  41. Show Scorepad Opens a floating window with the score and other information displayed. See Preferences Dialog for more information.
  42. Show Statistics Opens a floating window with various game statistics displayed.
  43. Hide Desktop When checked, the game window is set against a plain black background.
  44. Boss Coming A panic button (‚åòB), in case you really should be working.
  45. Show Last Trick Shows the last trick played.
  46. Telepathy When this item is checked clicking the mouse on your opponents heads will open up a window into their thoughts.  This feature is provided for its curiosity value, and to add realism for those of us lucky enough to be able to read minds normally.

  50. Help Takes you to this set of help screens.
  51. Registering Opens a dialog for registering your copy of Spades Deluxe. Do the right thing!
